On Thursday, the stock market closed with a positive tone as both the Sensex and Nifty edged higher. The Sensex saw a moderate gain of 0.17 per cent, closing at 74,611.11, while the Nifty climbed by 0.19 per cent to reach 22,648.20.

In the broader market, the Nifty Mid-Cap surged by 0.44 per cent, whereas the Nifty Small-Cap saw a slight gain of 0.13 per cent.

Furthermore, India VIX, reflecting market volatility. It is increased by 3.87 per cent.

Among the Top Gainers were Nifty Metal, Nifty Auto, Nifty Energy, and Nifty Pharma, while Nifty Media, Nifty Bank, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Realty experienced losses.

With 1,867 stocks advancing and 1,967 declining, the broader market sentiment appeared negative.

PTC India Financial Services - The scrip experienced significant buying activity, resulting in the stock surging and getting locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, reaching an intraday high of Rs 45.00 per share on NSE. PTC India Financial Services Limited (PFS) is a NBFC registered with RBI which holds the status of Infrastructure Finance Company. It provides equity/debt financing solutions to the energy value chain.

Pearl Polymers - A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 20 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 44.60 per share on NSE. Pearl Polymers Ltd stands as one of India's foremost plastic processors, boasting extensive manufacturing capabilities. With facilities dedicated to PVC compounds, brown film polypropylene, ready-made garments, injection molding of plastic products, and blow molding of PET bottles and containers, the company has positioned itself as a leader in the industry.
