On Wednesday, the trading day ended on a downbeat note for benchmark indices. The Sensex closed notably lower by 1.08 per cent, reaching 72,304.89, while the Nifty also saw a significant decline of 1.11 per cent, closing at 21,951.15.

The broader market mirrored this trend, with the Nifty Mid-Cap dropping by 1.94 per cent and the Nifty Small-Cap plunging by 1.87 per cent.

India VIX, reflecting market volatility, rose marginally by 3.83 per cent, indicating increased market volatility.

All major sectors underperformed, with Nifty Media, Nifty Energy, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Realty emerging as the Top Losers.

Among individual stocks, Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, and TCS were the Top Gainers, while Power Grid, Apollo Hospitals, and Eicher Motors faced significant losses within the Nifty 50.

The negative sentiment in the broader market was evident, with 306 stocks advancing compared to 1,962 stocks declining.

Eurotex Industries and Exports - Heavy buying was witnessed in the counter as the scrip zoomed and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, recording an intraday high of Rs 14.30 per share on NSE. Established in 1989, Eurotex Industries and Exports Limited is engaged in manufacturing of cotton yarn & knitted fabric.

 

Gayatri Projects - The scrip experienced significant buying activity, resulting in the stock surging and getting locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, reaching an intraday high of Rs 9.10 per share on NSE. Incorporated in 1963, Gayatri Projects Ltd is an infrastructure construction company

 

Ind-Swift Laboratories - A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 10 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 19.30 per share on NSE. Incorporated in 1995, Ind-Swift Laboratories Ltd is engaged in the manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), and Advanced Intermediates, and providing Contract Research and Manufacturing Services (CRAMS).
