On Wednesday, the primary stock indices concluded the trading day on a positive note. The Sensex exhibited a notable rise of 0.98 per cent, closing at 71,060.31 levels, while the Nifty surged by 1.01 per cent, reaching 21,453.95 levels. 

This positive trend extended to the broader market, with the Nifty Mid-Cap surging by 1.83 per cent and the Nifty Small-Cap soaring by 1.72 per cent.

India VIX, a measure of market volatility, witnessed a decline of 3.21 per cent, indicating a reduction in overall market volatility.

Among the Top Gainers were sectors such as Nifty Media, Nifty Metal, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Energy, with no major sectors underperforming.

Hindalco, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, and Tata Steel emerged as top gainers in individual stocks, while ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, and Asian Paints were among the leading losers in the Nifty 50.

The broader market sentiment appeared optimistic, with 1,635 stocks advancing compared to 589 stocks declining, suggesting a positive overall outlook in the market.

Twentyfirst Century Management - Heavy buying was witnessed in the counter as the scrip zoomed and got locked at 2 per cent upper circuit, recording an intraday high of Rs 39.80 per share on NSE. Established in 1986, Twentyfirst Century Management Services Ltd is actively involved in capital market investments and operates within the Futures & Options segment.

 

Alok Industries - The scrip experienced significant buying activity, resulting in the stock surging and getting locked at 10 per cent upper circuit, reaching an intraday high of Rs 33.10 per share on NSE. Alok Industries is a textile company with a notable presence in the cotton and polyester segments. The company is actively involved in the manufacturing of textiles, encompassing activities such as mending and packing. Additionally, Alok Industries extends its operations to the production of leather and other apparel products.

 

Bright Solar - A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 7.85 per share on NSE. Incorporated in 2010, Bright Solar Ltd is into assembling of DC/AC Solar Pumps and Solar Pump Systems, EPC contracts of Solar Photo voltaic Water pumps, consulting of Projects and tenders, Water supply and Sewerage Infra Project.
