On Monday's trading session, the benchmark indices concluded the day with a modest decline. The Sensex closed marginally lower by 0.24 per cent, settling at 71,315.10, while the Nifty experienced a slight dip of 0.18 per cent, closing at 21,418.65.

In contrast, broader indices performed positively, with Nifty Mid-Cap surging by 0.11 per cent and Nifty Small-Cap soaring by 0.71 per cent.

The market exhibited increased volatility, with India VIX rising by 5.88 per cent, reflecting the current fluctuations in market sentiment.

Among the sectors, Nifty Media, Nifty Pharma, and Nifty Metal emerged as the Top Gainers, while Nifty Realty, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Bank faced declines.

Leading the gainers among individual stocks were Bajaj Auto, Hindalco, and Adani Ports, while Power Grid, ICICI Bank, and ITC stood out as the Top Losers in the Nifty 50.

The broader market sentiment appeared optimistic, with 1099 stocks advancing compared to 946 stocks declining, indicating a favorable overall market outlook.
