On Thursday, the Sensex wrapped up with a notable 0.85 per cent decline, while the Nifty also concluded on a lower note, falling by 0.8 per cent. This decline was mirrored in the Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices, which closed down by 0.89 per cent and 1.34 per cent, respectively.

Among the prominent underperformers, the Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Auto, and Nifty Bank sectors stood out, while Nifty Media managed to eke out a marginal gain, with no other major sectors achieving positive closes. On the flip side, leading the pack in gains were Adani Ports, Tech Mahindra, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, whereas M&M, ICICI Bank, and Cipla found themselves at the forefront of losses within the Nifty 50.

Brightcom Group- Heavy buying was witnessed in the counter as the scrip zoomed and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, recording an intraday high of Rs 20.20 per share on NSE. The scrip witnessed massive spurt in volume. Brightcom Group Ltd offers digital marketing solutions to businesses, agencies and online publishers worldwide.

Shanti Overseas (India)- The scrip experienced significant buying activity, resulting in the stock surging more than 9 per cent, reaching an intraday high of Rs 17.05 per share on NSE. Shanti Overseas India Ltd is in the business of processing and trading of agri commodities and manufacturing of soya products.

Hathway Cable & Datacom- A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied more than 17 per cent to record an intraday high of Rs 21.70 per share on NSE. Hathway Cable & Datacom is engaged in distribution of internet services through cable and has strategic stake in entities engaged in cable television business.
