On Tuesday, Indian equity markets ended on a negative note. Nifty50 closed at 18,286.50, while both Mid-Cap index and Small-Cap index performed positively on broader markets.   

The following penny stocks are likely to be in focus on Wednesday, May 17, 2023:     

Trident- Heavy buying interest was witnessed in the counter as the scrip surged 8.08 per cent, recording an intraday high of Rs 35.45 per share on NSE. Trident Limited, the flagship company of the Trident Group, is a leading manufacturer of yarn, bath linen, bed linen and wheat straw-based paper, chemicals and captive power.  

Bartronics India- The stock experienced significant buying activity, resulting in 4.82 per cent surge and reaching an intraday high of Rs 8.70 per share on NSE. Bartronics India Ltd. is engaged in providing solutions based on Bar Coding, Biometrics, RFID, POS, EAS and Smart Cards etc.  

Godha Cabcon and Insulation - A solid price volume break-out was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied 4 per cent to record an intraday high of Rs 1.30 per share. Incorporated in 2007, Godha Cabcon & Insulation Ltd is a manufacturer of conductors and wires.
