Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus tomorrow

Transformers And Rectifiers (India), Nahar Poly Films, OnMobile Global, Everest Industries, Safari Industries (India), Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited, Astec LifeSciences, and CCL Products (India) made a fresh 52-week high today.  

On Wednesday, Indian equity markets staged a decent run-up post the Union Budget yesterday. Benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex surged ~1.18 per cent each, ending the session at 17,780 and 59,558.33 respectively. BSE Small-cap index outperformed broader markets, recording gains of 1.54 per cent, ending at 29,950.60.  

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday, February 3, 2022:  

Easy Trip Planners – Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) and India Innovation Hub have announced a partnership with EaseMyTrip and HSBC to facilitate 200 Indian startups to showcase their business ideas and innovations to global investors at Expo 2020 Dubai. India Innovation Hub is a project of the India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai wherein over 500 startups from India will be showcased. The project provides a platform to promote start-ups and innovators of India, by providing them exposure to the global investors' community through B2B events and activities like Elevate, pitching sessions.

To quote Nishant Pitti, CEO and Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip from a press release filed with the exchange, “We have had a strong presence and longstanding relations with UAE, and we are delighted to collaborate with DSO and India Innovation hub for strengthening the Indian startup ecosystem in the area. We believe that the business ideas put forward by these startups are truly innovative and will add significant value to the region.” 

MBL Infrastructures – The Learned Arbitral Tribunal has by a majority of 2:1 passed an award dated January 31, 2022, in favour of the company against the Public Works Department, Government of Uttarakhand for a road project in the state of Uttarakhand for a sum exceeding Rs 60 crore along with interest at the rate of 2 per cent higher than the current rate of interest prevalent on the date of the award.

The company officials are hopeful of receiving more awards/orders in near future in various pending proceedings and shall continue our persuasion for the realization of their dues which will further improve the overall liquidity and financial position of the company.
