Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Wednesday

On Tuesday, headline equity indices Nifty 50 and Sensex closed in the green territory at 17,233.30 and 57,897.48, respectively with gains of more than 0.80 per cent each. BSE Small-cap index outperformed broader markets by recording gains of 1.43 per cent i.e, 407.97 points, ending the session at 28,922.89. 

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Wednesday: 

Visaka Industries - The company has informed the exchange that it has been granted a patent for its product ‘ATUM Solar Roof’ by the United States of America Patent Office, which is valid for 20 years. The patent has been granted for the invention titled ‘Eco-Friendly Energy Generating Roofs.’ ATUM is a roof that generates electricity. It is the world’s first completely integrated, seamless solar roof made with Mono Crystalline PERC cells which makes it 50 per cent more efficient than traditional solar panels. ATUM generates 1 KW of electricity using 57 sq ft whereas a traditional solar panel uses over 90 sq ft of traditional solar panels. 

Since its launch in 2018, ATUM Solar Roof has received patents from India (2020), South Africa (2021) and the USA (2021). ATUM is categorized as a “Make In India” product as all its component parts are developed, manufactured, and assembled in India. ATUM today is installed across cities in India (Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana), Africa, and the Middle East. Today, it covers over 5,00,000 sq ft which generates over 6,000 kWp. 

Heranba Industries – The company has announced that it has acquired an additional industrial plot at Saykha Industrial Estate, measuring 57,248.29 sq mt. The company has already received the environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India for setting up a manufacturing unit of capacity 10,680 TPA at Saykha plot for its products. 

Ramkrishna Forgings – The company has announced that it has received an LOI worth INR 225 Million (USD 3 million) per annum from a major Tier 1 axle manufacturer in Mexico for manufacturing of front axle beam. 

52-week High Stocks – Bhartiya International, Shiva Mills, Gokaldas Exports, Shivalik Rasayan and Kabra Extrusion Technik made a fresh 52-week high today. 

These small-cap stocks will likely be in focus on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
