Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Tuesday

SML Isuzu, United Drilling Tools, Vishwaraj Sugar Industries, INEOS Styrolution India, Sarda Energy and TD Power Systems made a fresh 52-week high today.

On Monday, benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty recorded fresh highs of 61,963.07 and 18,543.15 respectively. Metal and banking stocks soared high during the session. BSE Mid-cap and Small-cap indices ended in the green territory, up by 0.95 per cent and 0.69 per cent respectively.  

The following small-cap and mid-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Tuesday:  

SVP Global Ventures – The company has announced a strong set of Q2FY22 results. Income from operations jumped by 9 per cent from Rs 405.74 crore in Q2FY22 relative to Rs 372.28 crore in Q1FY22. EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 93.06 crore as compared to Rs 57.63 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. It has reported a net profit of Rs 40.85 crore for the quarter ended September 2021, as compared to a net profit of Rs 10.75 crore in Q2FY21, which exhibits a growth of 2.8 times.

SV Pittie Sohar Textiles (FZC), a subsidiary of the company commenced commercial operations on August 15, 2021, at its mega textile plant at Sohar Free Trade Zone in Oman. The group has invested USD 150 million (i.e. Rs 1,100 crore) in setting up 1.5 lakh spindles and 3,500 rotors facility. 

The order book of the company currently stands at Rs 5,000 crore which is equivalent to the next 2 to 3 years of revenue. SVP Global is among the top two per cent of Indian manufacturers with technology less than 5 years old and output of 153-154 grams per spindle per shift, which is the highest in the industry. 

Asian Energy Services – The company has announced that it has been awarded with a contract worth Rs 236 crore (inclusive of GST) for coal handling infrastructure by Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd at Gevra, Chhattisgarh. This marks the fruition of the company’s efforts to foray into the coal infrastructure sector, a campaign that began in 2020. 

The company has also been selected as an approved awardee for the coal handling infra project at Hura OCP by Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL) worth Rs 128 crore (inclusive of GST). The company is awaiting LOA (i.e. Letter of Acceptance) from ECL pending completion of necessary land acquisition by ECL which is expected soon. 

Ajooni Biotech – The company has announced that for September 2021, they have achieved sales of Rs 7.38 crore. For the quarter ending September 2021, the company has done sales of Rs 18.39 crore, which is a 50 per cent growth on an annual basis.   

52-week High Stocks – SML Isuzu, United Drilling Tools, Vishwaraj Sugar Industries, INEOS Styrolution India, Sarda Energy and TD Power Systems made a fresh 52-week high today. These small-cap stocks will likely be in focus on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
