Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Monday

Ambika Cotton Mills, Nahar Poly Films, AVT Natural Products, Speciality Restaurants, Bombay Super Hybrid Seeds, Orient Bell, Sharda Cropchem and Fine Organic Industries made a fresh 52-week high today. 

On Friday, Indian equity markets closed in the red territory with marginal losses. Frontline indices Nifty 50 and Sensex slipped 0.25 per cent each, ending at 17,516.30 and 58,644.82 respectively. BSE Small-cap index underperformed broader markets, falling by 0.45 per cent, to close the last trading session of the week at 29,702.58.  

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday, February 7, 2022:  

PVR – The company has announced that it has signed an agreement with M3M India to set up an 8-screen multiplex at 65th Avenue. It is the recently delivered largest luxurious retail project in South Gurugram by M3M India, spread across 14 acres, with 1 million square feet of retail space and built with a top-line of Rs 4000 crore.

M3M India’s 65th Avenue is one of the most luxurious retail properties, located near M3M Golf estate and Trump Towers, at prime Golf Course Road, South Gurugram. The 65th Avenue has been designed by Bental Associates, a South African architectural firm.

Prakash Industries – The company has announced financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2021. During the quarter, the company has achieved net sales of Rs 847 crore, EBITDA of Rs 90 crore and profit after tax of Rs 32 crore. During the nine months ended December 31, 2021, the company has achieved net sales of Rs 2,771 crore and EBITDA of Rs 290 crore, reflecting growth of 27 per cent and 34 per cent respectively over the corresponding period of last financial year. Profit after tax for the nine months ended December 31, 2021, also grew by 166 per cent on a YoY basis to Rs 116 crore. 

52-week High Stocks – Ambika Cotton Mills, Nahar Poly Films, AVT Natural Products, Speciality Restaurants, Bombay Super Hybrid Seeds, Orient Bell, Sharda Cropchem and Fine Organic Industries made a fresh 52-week high today. 

These small-cap stocks will likely be in focus on Monday, February 7, 2022.
