Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Friday

On Thursday, markets ended on a higher note. Frontline indices Nifty and Sensex gained 0.82 per cent each. Nifty closed the session at 17,790.3 just shy of the 17,800 mark. BSE Small-cap index gained 1.38 per cent i.e. 395.57 points, outperforming broader markets. BSE Realty and Consumer Durables indices soared by more than 5.80 per cent each.

NIIT – StackRoute, an NIIT Venture and Sutherland, a leading global digital transformation company based out of Rochester, New York, USA have entered a partnership to launch an immersive training program designed to identify the right talent and develop them as high-quality Full Stack IT Professionals, handling critical roles at Sutherland.
This initiative is a part of Talent Pipeline as a Service (TPaaS), which helps enterprises build an incoming, deep-skilled talent pool in leading digital technologies, platforms, and agile methodologies. The program targets passionate technical graduates with 0 to 2 years of work experience and potential for developing deep skills via a virtual immersive model on full stack technologies beyond ‘.net’ and java.
Rail Vikas Nigam – The company has announced that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Braithwaite & Co. Limited (BCL). The consortium will explore the 400 KV/220 KV GIS, AIS substation works, 400 KV/220 KV/132 KV transmission line, HV/EHV underground cables, railway 25 KV OHE work and Railway traction substation works, metro station E&M work and tunnel ventilation work. The company has said that the aim of this consortium will be to generate at least Rs. 1000 crore business per year under this umbrella.
JK Lakshmi Cement – CRISIL Ratings has assigned a AA rating to the company's entire long-termborrowings of over Rs 2,000 crore with a stable outlook. Further, CRISIL has also assigned the top most rating to their short-term commercial paper program of Rs 175 Crore at CRISIL A1+.
Oriental Rail Infrastructure – The company has received an approval for our product 'PU foam' from Indian Railways manufacturing units and it shall be used in seat and berth by Indian Railways.
