Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Friday

The bulls took charge of the Indian stock markets as the headline indices once again recorded fresh highs on Thursday, September 16 2021. However, the BSE Smallcap index climbed by only 0.08 per cent, underperforming the broader markets. Thirumalai Chemicals, Religare Enterprises, Surya Roshni and Fineotex Chemicals were top gainers, while Zensar Technologies, Zee Learn, Zen Technologies and Hindustan Copper were top losers of the day.   

The following small-cap and mid-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Friday:  

Aptech Limited – The company announced that it has entered the EdTech segment with its latest brand addition - ProAlley.com. The brand intends to reach out to a new segment of the audience who are self-paced learners wanting to learn and make a career in the growing media and entertainment industry from the comfort of their homes. With this launch, the company now has all forms of delivery models in its business arsenal - offline, remote, live and self-paced. The initial offerings of the brand will focus on the growing media & entertainment and AVGC segment given mass employment opportunities. 

Easy Trip Planners– The company announced that it has expanded its international footprint by incorporating wholly-owned subsidiaries in the Philippines, Thailand, and the United States of America as part of its second phase of the global expansion strategy. The company has forayed into these new countries anticipating a huge pent-up global demand for the travel and tourism sector in the coming months. As a part of this new phase of expansion, the company will launch a localized travel search engine in each global subsidiary to enable the customers in the region to enjoy the value-based services of EaseMyTrip. 

Lincoln Pharma – The Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal, Ahmedabad Bench, (NCLT) has approved the scheme of amalgamation of Lincoln Parenteral Ltd and Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Amalgamation is expected to bring a lot of synergies in terms of operations efficiency, enhance competitive strength, cost-effectiveness and productivity for the combined entity. Lincoln Parenteral Ltd is a subsidiary company of Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd engaged in the business of small Parenteral Injection Products. For the year ended March 2021, Lincoln Parenteral reported a turnover of Rs 44.64 crore and Net profit of Rs 1.84 crore. Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd holds 98.58 per cent of Lincoln Parenteral Ltd as of March 2021. 

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services – The company today announced its entry into the vehicle leasing and subscription business. The new vertical would operate under the brand name ‘Quiklyz’, denoting the changing mindset on mobility. ‘Quiklyz’ will cater to both individual and corporate consumers. It will utilize the Mahindra Finance ecosystem to reach out to consumers, pan-India. 

Sunteck Realty – The company plans to develop a marquee approximately 50-acre land parcel at Shahad (Kalyan). The company would develop an aspirational luxury integrated residential township in this location, under the asset-light JDA model with Amar Dye Chem Ltd. The project is expected to see a potential development of approx. 1 crore sq ft. This would be another exceptional acquisition by the company, establishing its presence in the Eastern suburbs of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Revenue generation of Rs 9,000 crore is envisaged over the next 7-8 years. 

52-week High Stocks – Easy Trip Planners, Ami Organics, TPL Plastech, Thirumalai Chemicals, Surya Roshni, Precision Wires India, California Software Company, Fineotex Chemicals, MRO-TEK Realty and RPG Life Sciences have made a fresh 52-week high today. These stocks will likely be in focus on Friday, September 17, 2021.
