Overnight Digest: Stocks to watch out for on October 8
On the sectoral front, BSE Realty was the highest gaining index zooming 6.03 per cent on an intraday basis. BSE Auto and BSE Consumer Durables indices were also delighted rising by 4.46 per cent and 5.82 per cent.
On Thursday, the benchmark indices started the trading session on a gap up note. Sensex jumped almost 500 points higher whereas Nifty gained beyond 160 points. The benchmark indices showed some strength at the end of the first half and showed some selling pressure in the second half. Sensex closed at levels of 59,677.83 and Nifty at 17,790.35. Titan, M&M, Maruti Suzuki, IndusInd Bank and Sun Pharmaceuticals were the top gainers within Sensex.

Carborundum Universal - The company has informed the completion of the acquisition of equity shares in PLUSS Advanced Technologies Private Limited (PLUSS) aggregating to 71.99 per cent of the paid-up equity capital. Post-acquisition, PLUSS along with its wholly-owned subsidiary in the Netherlands, Pluss Advanced Technologies BV have become subsidiaries of Carborundum Universal.
TVS Motor Company - The company has announced the launch of TVS Jupiter 125. The "Zyada Se Bhi Zyada" feature-rich 125cc scooter is the new addition to the TVS Jupiter portfolio, bigger and more spacious with industry-first features such as the largest under-seat storage, segment-leading longest seat, progressive neo masculine styling and unrivalled mileage.
Tata Motors - The stock has broken the current resistance level on the charts and exhibited a surge in volumes. It has ended 12.04 per cent higher on Thursday, leading the BSE Auto Index, which outperformed the benchmark index with a wide margin. It is likely to be in focus on Friday.
