Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep an eye on September 12

Watch out for these stocks on Monday's trading session.

Owing to positive global cues, the domestic benchmark indices managed to close on a green note despite erasing morning gains during the afternoon session. BSE Sensex travelled back to end at 59,793, gaining 105 points or 0.18 per cent whereas Nifty 50 settled at 17,833, higher by 35 points or 0.19 per cent.  

Tech Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, Infosys, HCL Technologies, Maruti Suzuki, SBI, and TCS were the Top Gainers among the Large-Cap names whereas Astral, Godrej Industries, Bajaj Holdings & Investments, Allcargo Logistics, Nazara Technologies, and Stove Kraft won among the broader market stocks.  

Among the sectoral indices, BSE IT index was the only leader, jumping more than 2 per cent at the close. The top-gaining stocks include 3i Infotech, Nazara Technologies, and NIIT, which heavily pushed up the index, advancing up to 11 per cent.  

Watch out for these stocks on Monday's trading session - 

PNC Infratech - The shares of PNC Infratech surged around 6 per cent to Rs 304 per share on an intraday basis, post the news of the company bagging order worth Rs 1,458 crore from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Thursday, September 8. The agreement was signed between NHAI and Sonauli Gorakhpur Highway, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) incorporated by the company to implement the hybrid annuity mode (HAM) project. 

NDTV - In an otherwise bullish market, the shares of NDTV have witnessed trading with weak sentiments as the stock hit the lower circuit for the fourth straight session. In the last four trading sessions, the stock plunged around 22.4 per cent compared to a record high of Rs 567.85. Adani Enterprises is soon planning to acquire a controlling stake in this media company in addition to the existing stake of around 29 per cent.  

Rain Industries - The shares of Rain Industries slipped around 7.8 per cent to close at Rs 185.45 per share in an otherwise positive market after the company announced to temporarily shut its European unit, as informed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Rain Carbon Inc. The press release asserted that owing to potential natural gas shortages and price spikes, in the upcoming winter season, the company is developing additional energy-related contingency plans for its other European production units.  

Mahindra Logistics - The company announced during the noon session that it has acquired V-Link Freight Services Pvt Ltd and incorporated the same as a wholly-owned subsidiary. The purpose is to carry logistics, supply chain management, freight forwarding, charter, and related businesses across geographies. The shares of Mahindra Logistics closed around 1.43 per cent higher during Friday's trading session.
