Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep an eye on May 03!

Watch out for these large-cap stocks in Wednesday’s trading session!

The robust Quarterly Results season and significant gains from the metal, power and utilities sectors helped Indian benchmark indices start the session much higher. The only losing sectors were BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods and BSE Telecommunications. 

The BSE Sensex gained 0.40 per cent to 61,354 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index climbed 0.46 per cent to a level of 18,147.  

Watch out for these Large-Cap stocks in Wednesday’s trading session - 

Tech Mahindra - Shares of the company experienced a surge in volume and closed the session 2.92 per cent higher, making them the top Sensex gainer. The company reported a significant decline in net profit. For the financial year ending March 31, 2023, the board recommended a final dividend of Rs 32 per equity share of Rs 5 each. 

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries - The company reported that the US health regulator has halted company trials for a dermatological drug. Shares of the company experienced intense selling pressure and dropped 1.45 per cent, performing the worst on the Sensex pack.  

Hero MotoCorp - Following a decline in sales for the month of April 2023, shares of the company ended the session 2.35 per cent lower, ranking as one of the Top Losers from the BSE Large-cap pack.
