BSE Capital Goods made an attempt to boost indices with its significant gains but Indian domestic indices kept falling, mainly due to heavy losses in oil & gas and energy sectors. Telecommunications and banking stocks also suffered significant losses. The BSE Sensex fell 0.25 per cent to 59,958 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index lost 0.21 per cent to a level of 17,858.

Hindustan Unilever - For the first tranche, the company completed the acquisition of 51 per cent of Zywie for a total consideration of Rs 264.28 crore. Zywie Ventures Private Limited has become a subsidiary of the company as a result of the above acquisition. Shares finished the session slightly lower.
Adani Transmission - The company announced the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary company called 'Adani Transmission Step-Five Limited,' which has yet to begin operations. Shares ended today's session 1.54 per cent higher, following a modest rally in the past five trading sessions.
TVS Motor Company - The company expressed its intention to invest in Madhya Pradesh for future two-wheeler and three-wheeler expansion in electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. Over time, this could result in an investment of more than Rs 1,000 crore and the creation of over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs in Madhya Pradesh.
