Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep an eye on February 27!

Watch out for these large-cap stocks in Monday’s trading session!

With losses in the majority of sectors, Indian domestic indices ended the session lower on Friday. Metal stocks took the brunt of the damage, making BSE Metals the worst-performing sector with losses of more than 2 per cent. The top-gaining sectors of the session were BSE Energy and BSE Oil & Gas. The BSE Sensex lost 0.24 per cent to 59,463 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index fell 0.26 per cent to a level of 17,465.  

Watch out for these Large-Cap stocks in Monday’s trading session -

GAIL (India) Ltd - Shares of the company soared over 5 per cent with a surge in volume in an otherwise weak market, making it one of the Top Gainers among the large-cap pack. Shares fell sharply in the last sessions of January after the company reported a more than 90 per cent decline in net profit year-on-year.  

Hindalco Industries - Shares of Hindalco Industries plunged nearly 5 per cent, making it the worst performer in the BSE Metals sector. Year-on-year, the net profit of the company dropped more than 60 per cent. Shares tumbled over 14 per cent in the last month. Shares of National Aluminium Company and APL Apollo Tubes also experienced heavy selling pressure.  

ABB India - The company announced the inauguration of its new state-of-the-art factory in Nashik, doubling its Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) production capacity. It will serve customers in a variety of industries, including power distribution, data centres, transportation, ports, highways and other infrastructure developments. Shares ended the session more than 3 per cent higher.
