Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep an eye on February 16!

Watch out for these large-cap stocks in Thursday’s trading session!

Indian headline indices started the day lower, mirroring the deterioration in Asian markets and were damaged by losses in FMCG and power stocks. However, they managed to end the session higher, boosted by gains in the real estate, telecommunications and IT sectors. The BSE Sensex gained 0.40 per cent to 61,275 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index surged 0.51 per cent to a level of 18,022.   

Watch out for these Large-Cap stocks in Thursday’s trading session -

Tech Mahindra - The strong uptrend in the shares of Tech Mahindra was the primary driver in the BSE Sensex's closing rally. Being the top Sensex gainer, shares ended the session over 5 per cent higher. The company recently announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology to establish a data and cloud centre of excellence in Riyadh.  

Eicher Motors - The shares of the company climbed more than 4 per cent after the company reported an excellent quarter performance, with a 62 per cent growth in net profit year-on-year, backed by a significant boost in Royal Enfield sales.  

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise - Shares soared 5 per cent today on a more than 10-fold increase in volume as the board of directors declared an interim dividend of Rs 6 per share (120 per cent of face value of Rs 5 each) for the financial year ending March 31, 2023 and fixed February 24, 2023 as the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders entitled to the interim dividend.
