Due to significant gains in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and information technology stocks, benchmark indicator BSE Sensex managed to end the session higher after fluctuating between gains and losses throughout the session. The BSE Sensex gained 0.38 per cent to 59,932 level at the close, whereas the Nifty 50 index edged down by 0.03 per cent to a level of 17,610.

Britannia Industries - Following the company's announcement of the strong quarter performance, shares of the company reached a new 52-week high and ended the session 4.72 per cent higher today. Britannia Industries reported an outstanding growth of more than 150 per cent in net profit year-on-year.
Ambuja Cements - The business clarified in a press release that no shares of Ambuja Cement or ACC Ltd have been pledged by promoters and denied other misleading news regarding the same. Shares of the company ended the session over 5 per cent higher.
Adani Enterprises - The Adani Group decided to call-off the fully subscribed Rs 20,000 crore FPO. Shares of Adani Green Energy, Adani Total Gas and Adani Transmission all closed at 10 per cent lower circuits today, while Adani Enterprises plunged more than 26 per cent. In the last five trading sessions, shares of Adani Enterprises have dropped over significant 52 per cent.
