Indian benchmark indices partially recovered from earlier losses to close the session marginally lower. Metals, commodities, real estate and banking stocks all experienced significant gains. The BSE Sensex edged down by 0.05 per cent to 62,834 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index edged up by 0.03 per cent to a level of 18,701.

Larsen & Toubro - Through a consortium led by Sojitz Corporation (Japan), L&T Construction has received a large order from the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to build the Sabarmati Depot (MAHSR - D-2) in the state of Gujarat for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project. Shares of Larsen & Toubro finished the session 0.04 per cent higher.
