Overnight Digest: Stocks to be watched on January 31
The core benchmark indices erased the day's gains and entered the red territory towards the end of the trading session as investors preferred to lighten positions ahead of the weekend and the upcoming Union Budget.
At the end of the week, Sensex was down 76.71 points or 0.13 per cent at 57200.23 level, and the Nifty shed 5.50 points or 0.03 per cent at 17104.70.
On the sectoral front, BSE Healthcare Index rose beyond 1 per cent whereas other sectoral indices ended flat. The midcap and smallcap indices ended 1.02 and 1.07 per cent higher.

Dalmia Bharat - The shares of this cement maker were up 5.6 per cent on the BSE despite the company announcing muted earnings for Q3FY22. In the previous trading session, on Thursday, the company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 103 crore, down around 44 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The consolidated revenue from operations was at Rs 2,731 crore down 0.2 per cent on a year-on-year basis. After a series of red candles for previous trading sessions, the stock has formed a substantially large green candle and is also trading with a positive RSI. Keep a watch on this stock for Monday's trading session.
Zomato - After witnessing a significant drop in Thursday's trading session, the shares of Zomato showed a less volatile trade in Friday's trading session. The company has decided to foray into the financial services business and has decided to create a non-banking finance company (NBFC) as a wholly-owned subsidiary for the purpose. The proposed paid-up capital of NBFC will be Rs 3 crore, while the authorised capital is pegged at Rs 10 crore.
TVS Motor Company - The company has acquired a 75 per cent stake in Switzerland's electric bike player for US$ 65 million. The Swiss e-mobility group is a fully integrated e-bike platform for purchasing and re-selling of own-branded e-bikes, third party-branded e-bikes, and spare parts. The share has dropped 4.18 per cent in Friday's trading session and is likely to be in focus on Monday.
Upper Circuit Stocks - From the BSE 500 index, Brightcom Group and Deepak Fertilisers have locked in upper circuit on Friday.
