Overnight Digest: Stocks to be kept on radar for January 3
On Friday, benchmark Indices ended te year 2021 on a positive note with Nifty closing higher 0.87 per cent and Sensex closing at 0.80 per cent up. Strong buying was seen in auto, metal and realty stocks. Textile stocks gained on Friday post the announcement of a deferred GST hike.
Though steady recovery is being seen so far, rising COVID cases and precautionary restrictions imposed by a few key states could lower the sentiment ahead.

Tech Mahindra - The company approved the proposal to acquire 100 per cent equity shares in Allyis India Private Limited while the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary viz., Tech Mahindra (Americas) Inc. approved the proposal to acquire 100 per cent equity shares in Green Investments LLC (holding company for Allyis Group). The share traded in the negative territory throughout the trading session on Friday and ended 0.51 per cent down on BSE.
Vodafone Idea - The share of Vodafone Idea jumped almost 10 per cent during Friday's trading session. The MACD is likely to give a crossover in the coming trading sessions. The RSI is also trading in an upward direction. Keep a watch on this stock for Monday's trading session.
Metal stocks - BSE Metal Index has outperformed the benchmark indices, zooming beyond 2 per cent in Friday's trading session. Hindalco Industries, Vedanta, SAIL, Jindal Steel, and JSW Steel turned out to be the top gaining stocks within the index. Keep a watch on these stocks for Monday.
Upper circuit stocks - Borosil Renewables, RattanIndia Power, and Anant Raj Ltd have hit their respective upper circuits on Friday. They are likely to be in focus on Monday.
