Overnight Digest: Stocks likely to be on watchlist for October 20
On Tuesday, domestic markets advanced on tracking an overnight rise in US stocks. But upside in key indices was majorly capped as traders were cautious after seven days of continuous bullish sentiment in the market.
Sensex settled 0.08 per cent at 61,716.05 level on the downside whereas Nifty ended 0.32 per cent lower at 18,418.75 level.
In the broader markets, smallcap and midcap indices ended in red. Majority of the sectoral indices plunged up to 4.5 per cent. BSE IT index outperformed the benchmark indices with Larsen & Toubro Infotech being the highest gaining stock within the index zooming up to 15.93 per cent on an intraday basis.

Tata Consultancy Services - TCS announced that it has partnered with Heritage Life Insurance Company, a US-based provider of insurance and reinsurance services, to transform the customer experience for policyholders in the closed book of business it recently acquired.
DCM Shriram - The company has declared quarterly results for Q2 & H1FY22. Net Revenue was recorded to be up 5 per cent on a YoY basis standing at Rs 2,145 crore. The vinyl business contributed the most in revenue growth with a 94 per cent gain on a YoY basis. PAT for Q2 FY22 was recorded at Rs 159 crore, improving 33 per cent on a YoY basis.
