Overnight Digest: Stocks likely to be in focus on September 14

Watch out for these stocks for Wednesday's trading session.

Sensex ended the day 451.03 points higher at the 60,566.16 level. Nifty gained 130.50 points to close above 18,000. About 1,776 shares advanced, 1,600 shares declined while 101 shares were unchanged. 

Among the sectors, financials, FMCG, metals and capital goods added half a per cent each. Contrary to Monday's rally, the IT stocks ended the day in green as TCS and HCL Tech while Tech Mahindra ended the day in the red. Meanwhile, the Mid-Cap and Small-Cap indices ended in the green. 

Watch out for these stocks for Wednesday's trading session - 

Bajaj Finserv - The shares of Bajaj Finserv jumped 6 per cent in the first half of Tuesday's trading session to Rs 1,821 post the stock trading ex-date for 1:5 stock split and 1:1 bonus share. The company had fixed September 14, 2022, as the record date for the purpose of determining the members, eligible for the sub-division of existing equity shares and the issue of bonus equity shares of the company.

Tata Investment Corporation - The shares of Tata Investment Corporation made a record high of Rs 2,072.15, zooming 6 per cent during Tuesday’s trading session. In the past two weeks, the shares of Tata Group company have surged 29 per cent and gained 39 per cent, beating a 1.8 per cent rise in BSE Sensex. Tata Investment Corporation is an NBFC promoted by Tata Sons.  

KRBL - The shares of KRBL hit a three-year high of Rs 355.60 and soared 11 per cent on an intraday basis. In just two trading sessions, its shares have jumped 17 per cent, delighting the investors' eyes. KRBL is one of the largest exporters of Basmati rice from India. The government has imposed an export duty of 20 per cent on various brands of rice last week.  However, parboiled and basmati rice were exempted from export duties. 

Dairy stocks - The dairy stocks were seen trading under pressure in an otherwise positive market. According to the latest reports, about 57,000 cows have died due to the lumpy virus across the country. The virus has spread in 6-7 states including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Among the dairy stocks, Parag Milk Foods slipped 1.1 per cent, Dodla Dairy plunged 1 per cent, Heritage Foods fell 1.61 per cent, Umang Dairies declined 3.3 per cent while Hatsun Agro lost 0.1 per cent.
