Overnight Digest: Stocks likely to be in focus on October 20
For the fourth continuous trading session, the domestic benchmark indices ended higher. The majority of the sectors traded similarly to the benchmark indices and ended higher in a flat to the marginal pattern.
Sensex ended 146.59 points or 0.25 per cent at 59,107.19 while Nifty gained 25.30 points or 0.14 per cent at 17,512.30 level.
HDFC, Nestle India, ITC, Reliance Industries, and Axis Bank were among the top Nifty gainers. NTPC, JSW Steel, SBI, Bajaj Finserv, and Coal India were the Top Losers.

Jindal Steel - Aligning with its goal to become a net zero steel company by 2035, Jindal Steel & Power has signed an MoU with Greenko Group, India’s leading energy transition company, to facilitate 1,000 MW of carbon-free energy for its steel-making operations at Angul, Odisha. The proposed 1,000 MW carbon-free energy is targeted to meet the existing and incremental power demand of JSP’s Angul facility.
Bharat Electronics - In a positive market today, the shares of Bharat Electronics traded bearishly and ended in the red. Post market hours, the company announced that it has signed an MoU with Triton Electric Vehicle (TEV), for the manufacture of hydrogen fuel cells by BEL with technology transfer from TEV, to meet the requirements of the Indian market and mutually agreed on export markets.
Syngene International - The shares of Syngene International jumped 6 per cent in today's trading session. The company reported Q2FY23 results, which revealed the quarterly revenue from operations growth of 26 per cent on a year-on-year basis to Rs 768 crore. Profit after tax for the quarter, before an exceptional item, increased by 11 per cent year-on-year to Rs 102 crore. The results reflected a positive performance across all divisions.
