At close, Sensex contracted 419.85 points or 0.69 per cent at 60,613.70 level while Nifty was down 128.80 points or 0.71 per cent at 18,028.20 level.
he top Nifty losers included Tata Motors, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv, M&M and Titan Company while gainers were Hero MotoCorp, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bharti Airtel and ONGC.

Page Industries - The shares of Page Industries ended 1.85 per cent lower in Thursday's trading session. The company has reported a net profit of Rs 162.1 crore in Q2FY23 as compared to Rs 160.5 crore reported in Q2FY22 . On the other hand, revenue was up 15.8 per cent recording at Rs 1,255 crore as compared to Rs 1,084 crore reported in Q2FY22.
RattanIndia Enterprises - The company has acquired Neobrands Limited, which deals in multi-brand wholesale and retail businesses. RattanIndia Enterprises intends to start a wholesale and retail business on online E-commerce platforms. The nature of consideration is all cash for this acquisition. The shares of RattanIndia Enterprises dropped 6.55 per cent in today's trading session.
Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals - Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals reported an 18.9 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated profit at Rs 60.5 crore in Q2FY23. The consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter grew by 36.5 per cent on a YoY basis. The company's share plunged more than 7 per cent in Thursday's trading session.
Price Volume Breakout Stocks - Some of the stocks which were able to show a price volume breakout in today's weak market included Jubilant Ingrevia, Century Plyboards (India), Motherson Sumi Systems, Hero Motocorp and Havells India.
