Overnight Digest: Stocks likely to be in focus on June 22
Sectorally, the indices settled in green with IT, metal, oil & gas, power, realty and PSU Bank gaining between 3 per cent and 6 per cent.
On Tuesday, the domestic equities continued the upwards journey for the second straight session as low-level buying pushed benchmark indices higher. Lack of major selling reasons in the domestic and global market along with a drop in commodity prices seems to have augured well for the markets.
In the end, Sensex was seen 934.23 points or 1.81 per cent up at 52,532.07 level, and the Nifty ended 288.60 points or 1.88 per cent higher at 15,638.80 level. Titan Company, Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel, Coal India and Adani Ports were among the top Nifty gainers whereas the only loser was Apollo Hospitals.

The company announced on June 20, 2022, that its board of directors has accepted the resignation of Marzin R Shroff as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (Executive Director) of the company. The shares of Eureka Forbes closed 7.68 per cent higher on Tuesday.
KEC International - The shares of KEC International jumped up to Rs 381.65 during intraday trade on BSE, zooming 5.5 per cent from its previous close due to strong volume after the company reported multiple order wins amounting to Rs 1,092 crore. The orders are received for various businesses like transmission & distribution (T&D), railways, civil, and cables.
BSE 500 - Price volume breakout was witnessed in Jain Irrigation, NB Ventures, Suven Life Sciences, Chennai Petroleum, E.I.D. - Parry (India), Asahi India Glass, MCX, and Orient Cement. These trading stocks belonging to BSE 500 index will be in action on June 22.
Bullish engulfing pattern – A bullish engulfing pattern was formed in IT stocks such as Cyient and Tech Mahindra during Tuesday’s trading session. This suggests that bulls will be interested in both the counters on June 22.
