Opening spotlight: Top three stocks that gained in the pre-opening session amid mixed cues
The rally in two of these three stocks came on the back of the announcement of robust Q4FY22 results.
After ending the previous session in red, frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green today. By 9.15 am, the index gained nearly 92 points, or 0.17 per cent higher than the previous close.
Speaking about the sectoral indices, after taking a significant hit in the previous session, metals gained 0.46 per cent in the pre-opening session today. Similarly, power zoomed 1.01 per cent while consumer durables surged nearly 0.40 per cent.
During this time, Shilpa Medicare, HLE Glascoat and Apcotex Industries stood as the Top Gainers from Group A in today’s pre-opening session.
Shilpa Medicare Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rose by 6.42 per cent on the bourses to trade at Rs 436.65 in the pre-opening session today. This rally comes after the company posted its results for the quarter and year ended 31 March 2022. During the quarter, the revenue from operations surged 30 per cent YoY to Rs 72.87 crore, whereas the PAT grew 33.3 per cent YoY to Rs 35.45 crore.
HLE Glascoat Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 5.37 per cent to trade at Rs 3990 on the bourses. This company too had announced its results yesterday, as per which, the company’s topline in Q4FY22 grew 21 per cent YoY to Rs 160.45 crore.
Similarly, the shares of Apcotex Industries Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, were trading higher by 3.57 per cent at Rs 663.15. The company has a 52-week high and low of Rs 664.80 and Rs 287.60, respectively on BSE.
