NCC share rises on bagging new orders worth Rs 1,548 crore
Construction & infrastructure enterprise NCC, on Wednesday, announced via a regulatory filing that it has received six new orders worth Rs 1,548 crore, exclusive of GST, in the month of August 2020.
Out of the six orders, one order belongs to NCC’s water division, which is worth Rs 959 crore. The second order, which was worth Rs 262 crore, pertains to the building division, and the remaining four orders worth Rs 327 crore belongs to the electrical division. The company received all the orders from state government agencies, which do not include any internal orders.
The company is engaged in the infrastructure sector, mainly in the construction of industrial and commercial buildings, housing, roads, bridges, and flyovers. It is also engaged in water supply and environment projects, railways, mining, power transmission lines, irrigation, and hydrothermal power projects, and so on.
For the quarter ending June 30, the company secured orders amounting to Rs 2,592 crore and its order book stood at Rs 27,916 crore at the end of the first quarter.
At 3.23 pm on Wednesday, the share of NCC was trading at Rs 34.6 with gains of 2.67 per cent on BSE. The share has recorded a 52-week high value of Rs 70.90 and a 52-week low of Rs 15.9 on BSE.
