The benchmark indices ended the day in the red on Friday’s trading session. The BSE Sensex Index was down by 888 points or 1.31 per cent at a level of 66,684.26.
On the broader market, the indices were trading mixed with BSE Mid-Cap Index down by 0.26 per cent and BSE Small-Cap Index up by 0.13 per cent. About 1,530 shares have advanced, 1,854 have declined and 130 were unchanged on BSE.
On the sectoral front, BSE Capital Goods Index (1.69 per cent), BSE Industrials Index (1.33 per cent) and BSE Telecommunication Index (0.33 per cent) were the Top Gainers whereas BSE Information Technology Index (-4.40 per cent), BSE Teck Index (-3.91 per cent) and BSE Consumer Durables Index (-1.09 per cent) were the Top Losers.
