Investor's hunting for stocks: FIIs Find Treasure in Micro-Caps - multibagger Returns Await

Despite heavy selling in the Indian equity market this month, foreign investors (FIIs) have shown a strong interest in Small-Cap stocks that have delivered significant returns and may continue to do so. An analysis of the shareholding patterns of BSE-listed companies reveals that FIIs have increased their stakes in a few micro-cap stocks that have more than doubled and tripled their investors' wealth since their listing.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) held a 13.51 per cent stake in Ok Play India at the end of June, which they increased to 19.64 per cent in the following quarter. This micro-cap company is engaged in the manufacturing of plastic molded products such as toys, school furniture, infrastructure, and automotive products. With a market capitalization of around Rs. 242 crores, its stock price has surged by 210 per cent in FY24, making it one of the top performers in the FII micro-cap portfolio.

Krishival Foods, a company involved in the business of cashew manufacturing, has tripled the wealth of its investors. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) now own 11 per cent of the stake in this company. Given the company's consistent profitability, FIIs may see significant potential in this stock.
