M&M Japan subsidiary collaborates with Kubota for serving Japanese market
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited’s subsidiary Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co. Ltd, Japan (MAM) has entered into a business collaboration arrangement with Kubota Co. Limited.
This collaboration will contribute to the sustainable development of Japanese agriculture by expanding mutual OEM supply and utilising products compatible with Kubota's IoT platform ‘KSAS’, which is the basis of smart agriculture.
The scope of this collaboration includes expanding the existing scope of mutual OEM supply placing the main focus on tractors, rice transplanters, and the combined harvesters, including implements & associated equipment. It will also include discussing the supply of agricultural machines that can accommodate Kubota’s farming support system KSAS and utilisation of the system at MAM.
Kubota is finding solutions in their large selections of products from small to large size, as well as in the promotion of smart agriculture that utilise self-driving agricultural machines and the farming support system KSAS. MAM offers a line-up of products equipped with Mitsubishi’s proprietary technologies and pursuit of craftsmanship spirit or ‘monozukuri spirit’ (Craftsmanship Spirit) under brand message ‘Long Life’.
On Wednesday, the stock of M&M was trading 1.3 per cent higher at Rs 805.30 from its previous close of Rs 795 on BSE. It got closed at Rs 795.10.
