Microcap Multibagger Shipping Company Secures Order Worth Rs 5.90 Crore from Larsen & Toubro – Revenue Surged by 99 per cent, Operating Profit Margin at 78 per cent in FY24

This micro-cap shipping company has received a work order from Larsen & Toubro Ltd, valued at approximately Rs 5,90,40,000 (Rupees Five Crore Ninety Lakh Forty Thousand Only), for the hiring of marine equipment to be used at the KKNPP HTS project site in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.
The work order involves the hiring of three barges (Arcadia Parsva, Arcadia Abhinandan, and Arcadia Mahavir) to be deployed at the KKNPP HTS Package-2, Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project, Kudankulam P.O., Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu – 627106. The monthly hiring charges for each barge are Rs. 16,40,000 (Rupees Sixteen Lakhs Forty Thousand Only), amounting to a total of Rs. 5,90,40,000 (Rupees Five Crore Ninety Lakh Forty Thousand Only) for all three barges. Payment is to be made within 30 days from the receipt of certified bills. Furthermore, the work order must be executed within 15 days from the date of the order, with a hiring period of 12 months.

On Friday, the shares of Arvind & Company Shipping Agencies Ltd rallied and hit the upper circuit and closed the day at around Rs 125.80 per share on the NSE. The company’s current market capitalization stands at Rs 152.69 crore. Additionally, the shares have delivered an impressive multibagger return of over 150 per cent in just 3 months.
The company doesn’t declare Quarterly Results and as per half-yearly results in March 2024 Arvind & Company Shipping Agencies Ltd recorded a revenue of Rs 8.09 crore compared to Rs 7.15 crore. The operating profit stood at Rs 6.36 crore. The net profit stood at Rs 3.18 crore compared to a profit of Rs 4.12 crore. Looking at the annual performance, the company generated a revenue of Rs 14.15 crore in FY24. The operating profit for FY24 was Rs 11.07 crore with an operating profit margin of 78.23 per cent with a net profit of Rs 5.27 crore.
Incorporated in 1987, Arvind & Company Shipping Agencies Ltd offers services related to the rental of immovable properties. The company charters barges customized to meet customer requirements and provides a range of marine services, including stevedoring and cargo handling, ship agency operations, dredging, underwater trenching, rock breaking, port construction, and maintenance. Its core service is barge rental for transporting cargo through inland waterways.
