Market wrap: The benchmark indices concluded the trading day on a negative note!

About 2,218 stocks are advancing as against to 1,553 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a negative sentiment in the broader market.

Market Update at 3:45 PM: On Thursday, the market concluded on a negative note, with the Sensex trading down by 0.73 per cent touching 78,886.22 mark, while Nifty plunged by 0.74 per cent breaking the level of 24,117.00 points.

Furthermore, the broader market showed negative performance, with the Nifty Mid-cap dipped by 0.34 per cent and the Nifty Small-cap declined by 0.41 per cent.

Market volatility, as indicated by India VIX, has soared by 2.67 per cent, closing below 17 this is reflecting an increase in market volatility.

In the sectoral landscape, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Media emerged among the top gainers, while Nifty IT and Nifty Energy were among the major underperforming sectors.

About 1,830 stocks were advancing as against to 2,080 that were declining, thus indicating a negative sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 2:40 PM: In the current trading session the benchmark indices trading on a negative note, with the Sensex trading down by 0.61 per cent touching 79,039.14 mark, while Nifty dipped by 0.69 per cent breaking the level of 24,160.85 points.

Similarly, the broader indices Nifty Mid-cap plunged by 0.05 per cent, while Nifty Small-cap declined by 0.21 per cent.

India VIX has zoomed by 3.32 per cent, indicating an increase in market volatility.

In the sectoral landscape, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Media emerged among the top gainers, while Nifty IT and Nifty Energy were among the major underperforming sectors.

About 1,926 stocks are advancing as against 1,936 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a negative sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 12:45 PM: In the current trading session, benchmark indices have shown a muted performance, with Sensex trading down by 0.10 per cent while Nifty has also plunged by 0.09 per cent.

In contrast to this, in the broader indices, the Nifty Mid-cap soared by 0.45 per cent, while the Nifty Small-cap increased by 0.46 per cent.

India VIX has rallied by 1.86 per cent, indicating an increase in market volatility.

European stocks to open on dampen note on Wednesday, European futures DAX, CAC and FTSE traded up by 0.36 per cent, 0.54 per cent and 0.89 per cent, respectively.

In the sectoral landscape, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Media emerged among the top gainers, while Nifty IT and Nifty Energy were among the major underperforming sectors.

Market Update at 10:00 AM: : In the ongoing trading session, Benchmark indices are trading on a negative note. The Sensex is trading down at 0.26 per cent above the 79,271.10 mark while the Nifty has also plunged by 0.25 per cent placed at 24,233.20 level.

Whereas, in the broader, the Nifty Mid-Cap increased by 0.04 per cent trading below the 56,904.55 level and the Nifty Small-Cap zoomed by 0.16 per cent.

India VIX has zoomed by 3.70 per cent, indicating an increase in market volatility.
