Market Wrap: Sensex and Nifty make new all-time highs yet again!

On July 13, foreign institutional investors (FII) bought shares worth Rs 2,237.93 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) sold shares worth Rs 1,196.68 crore.

Market Update at 4:10 PM: Sensex surged by 0.77 per cent and makes a new all-time high of 66,159 level. Similarly, Nifty also made an all-time high of 19,595 level.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap surged by 1.15 per cent and 1.42 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 2.38 per cent.

Nifty IT, Nifty Metal and Nifty Media were among the top gainers while Nifty Energy was the top loser.

Tech Mahindra, TCS and Infosys were among the top gainers while Power Grid, M&M and HDFC Life were among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 1386 stocks were advancing as against to 657 stocks that were declining, thus indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

Market Update at 12:40 PM: Sensex and Nifty trade higher by 0.37 per cent each.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap trade higher by 0.53 per cent and 0.83 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 1.92 per cent.

Nifty IT, Nifty Realty and Nifty Media are among the top gainers while Nifty Financial Services, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Energy are among the top losers.

Tech Mahindra, TCS and LTI Mindtree are among the top gainers while Power Grid, NTPC and HDFC Life are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 1314 stocks are advancing as against to 595 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 11:30 AM: Sensex and Nifty trade higher by 0.41 per cent each.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap trade higher by 0.49 per cent and 0.87 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 2.38 per cent.

Nifty IT, Nifty Realty and Nifty Metal are among the top gainers while Nifty Financial Services is among the top losers.

Tech Mahindra, Infosys and HCL Tech are among the top gainers while Power Grid, Titan and HDFC Life are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 1337 stocks are advancing as against to 577 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 9:35 AM: Sensex and Nifty open higher by 0.25 per cent each.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap open higher by 0.52 per cent and 0.79 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 1.19 per cent.

Nifty IT, Nifty Realty and Nifty Metal are among the top gainers while Nifty Energy, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Media are among the top losers.

Hindalco, Infosys and HCL Tech are among the top gainers while Power Grid, Apollo Hospitals and HDFC Life are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 1434 stocks are advancing as against to 419 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Pre-Market Update at 7:50 AM: U.S. stocks closed higher on Thursday, continuing their upward trend. The Nasdaq climbed over 1 per cent for the second consecutive day, supported by data showing the smallest annual increase in U.S. producer inflation in nearly three years. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.14 per cent, the S&P 500 gained 0.85 per cent, and the Nasdaq Composite added 1.58 per cent.

Oil prices increased on Friday due to reduced supply from Libya and Nigeria, along with the positive impact of easing U.S. inflation. This development raised hopes among market participants that the Federal Reserve might halt interest rate hikes in the largest global economy. Brent crude futures rose by 0.3 per cent, reaching $81.63 per barrel.

On Friday, the GIFT Nifty signalled a neutral opening for the benchmark indices, showing a slight decline of 14.5 points. The futures were recorded at 19,543.50.

Stocks that are banned for trading in the F&O segment on July 14, 2023, are Delta Corp, Hind Copper, India Cements, Indiabulls Housing Finance, PNB, Zee Entertainment and Manappuram.
