Market Wrap: Sensex and Nifty close on a higher note after reaching their all-time high levels!
On July 19, foreign institutional investors (FII) bought shares worth Rs 1,165.47 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) sold shares worth Rs 2,134.54 crore.
Market Update at 4:20 PM: Sensex closes higher by 0.71 per cent after reaching its all-time high level of 67,619. Similarly, Nifty closes higher by 0.74 per cent after reaching its all-time high level of 19,991.
Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap surged by 0.25 per cent and 0.37 per cent respectively.
India VIX has surged by 1.55 per cent.
Nifty Pharma, Nifty Bank and Nifty FMCG were among the top gainers while Nifty IT was the top loser for the day.
ITC, ICICI Bank and Kotak Bank were among the top gainers while Reliance, Infosys and Ultra cement were among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

Pre-Market Update at 7:55 AM: On Wednesday, Banking stocks in the US markets performed well, with the S&P 500 bank index rising 1.70 per cent for the third consecutive session and the eighth time in nine sessions. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.31 per cent to 35,061.21, the S&P 500 gained 0.24 per cent to 4,565.72 and the Nasdaq Composite added 0.03 per cent to 14,358.02.
Early on Thursday, oil prices in Asian trade declined, continuing the losses from the previous session. The drop was influenced by a stronger dollar and profit-taking, triggered by US crude oil stocks falling below expectations. Brent futures experienced a decrease of 14 cents, representing a 0.2 per cent dip, bringing the price to USD 79.32 per barrel.
On Thursday, the Benchmark indices are expected to open flat with a marginal gain of 2 points, as indicated by the GIFT Nifty. The futures are currently at 19,843.
