Market Wrap: Benchmark indices end on a higher note with Nifty Metal among the top gainers!

Foreign institutional investors (FII) invested Rs 1,677.60 crore in shares, while domestic institutional investors (DII) divested shares worth Rs 203.32 crore on June 13.

Market Update at 3:30 PM: Sensex ends on a higher note by 0.14 per cent while Nifty ends higher by 0.21 per cent.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap ended higher by 0.21 per cent and 0.12 per cent respectively.

India VIX surged by 0.45 per cent.

Nifty Metal, Nifty Energy and Nifty FMCG were among the top gainers while Nifty Media, Nifty Bank and Nifty Financial Services were among the top losers.

JSW Steel, Grasim and Tata Steel were among the top gainers from the Nifty 50 while Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance and IndusInd bank were among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

Market Update at 2:15 PM: Sensex and Nifty trade higher by 0.18 per cent and 0.27 per cent respectively.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap trade higher by 0.13 per cent and 0.15 per cent respectively.

India VIX has surged by 0.81 per cent.

Nifty Metal, Nifty Energy and Nifty FMCG are among the top gainers while Nifty IT, Nifty Bank and Nifty Financial Services are among the top losers.

JSW Steel, Tata Consumer and Tata Steel are among the top gainers from the Nifty 50 while Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance and IndusInd bank are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 1095 stocks are advancing as against to 852 stocks that are declining. Thus, indicating positive sentiment in the broader market.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap trade higher by 0.08 per cent and 0.2 per cent respectively.

India VIX has surged by 1.17 per cent.

About 1165 stocks are advancing as against to 768 stocks that are declining. Thus, indicating positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 11:15 AM: Benchmark indices trade on a mixed note whereas broader market indices trade positively.

India VIX has surged by 0.9 per cent.

About 1164 stocks are advancing as against to 748 stocks that are declining. Thus, indicating positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 9:35 AM: Sensex falls marginally by 0.06 per cent while Nifty trades lower by 0.02 per cent.

Nifty Midcap trades flat while Nifty Smallcap surge by 0.24 per cent.

India VIX has surged by 0.90 per cent.

Nifty Metal, Nifty Realty and Nifty PSU Bank are among the top gainers while Nifty IT, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Financial Services are among the top losers.

JSW Steel, Hindalco and Tata Steel are among the top gainers from the Nifty 50 while SBI Life, IndusInd Bank and Bharti Airtel are among the top loser from the Nifty 50.

 

Pre-Market Update at 8:10 AM: US stocks rose on Tuesday night as new inflation data showed a slowdown in price pressures, boosting optimism that the Federal Reserve may hold off on a rate hike this week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed higher by 0.43 per cent. The S&P 500 ended by registering a gain of 0.69 per cent, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.83 per cent.

The futures for the Dollar index showed a decline of 0.41 percent, settling at 103.23, while the value of the dollar remained close to Rs 82.17. On Tuesday, oil prices rebounded by 3 percent, bouncing back from significant losses in the previous session.

On Wednesday, the SGX Nifty suggests a slightly positive opening for the benchmark indices, with a 48 point increase. The SGX futures are currently at 18,833.

Stocks that are banned for trading in the F&O segment on June 14, 2023, are BHEL, DeltaCorp, Indiabulls Housing Finance, IEX, India Cements and Manappuram.
