Market Wrap: Benchmark indices close on a higher note with Nifty PSU Bank among the top gainers!

On July 3, foreign institutional investors (FII) purchased shares valued at Rs 1,995.92 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) offloaded shares valued at Rs 337.80 crore.

Market Update at 3:40 PM: Sensex closes higher by 0.42 per cent while Nifty closes higher by 0.34 per cent.

Nifty Midcap closes lower by 0.2 per cent while Nifty Smallcap closes higher by 0.25 per cent.

India VIX has surged by 1.39 per cent.

Nifty Media, Nifty IT and Nifty PSU Bank were among the top gainers while Nifty Auto, Nifty Energy and Nifty Realty were among the top losers.

Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and Hero Motocorp were among the top gainers while Eicher Motors, Bharti Airtel and Grasim were among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 818 stocks were advancing as against to 1126 stocks that were declining. Thus, indicating a negative sentiment in the broader market.

Market Update at 2:10 PM: Sensex trades higher by 0.49 per cent after making a new all-time high of 65,672 while Nifty surges by 0.35 per cent and makes a new all-time high of 19,434.

Nifty Midcap trades flat while Nifty Smallcap trades higher by 0.38 per cent.

India VIX has surged by 2.34 per cent.

Nifty Media, Nifty Financial Services and Nifty PSU Bank are among the top gainers while Nifty Auto, Nifty Energy and Nifty FMCG are among the top losers.

Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and Hero Motocorp are among the top gainers while Eicher Motors, Bharti Airtel and Grasim are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 931 stocks are advancing as against to 1001 stocks that are declining. Thus, indicating a negative sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 11:30 AM: Sensex trades higher by 0.23 per cent while Nifty trades higher by 0.14 per cent.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap trades higher by 0.12 per cent and 0.56 per cent.

India VIX has surged by 0.78 per cent.

Nifty Media, Nifty Financial Services and Nifty PSU Bank are among the top gainers while Nifty Energy, Nifty Pharma and Nifty FMCG are among the top losers.

About 1072 stocks are advancing as against to 854 stocks that are declining. Thus, indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 9:40 AM: Sensex opens higher by 0.24 per cent and make new all-time of 65,586 while Nifty opens higher by 0.13 per cent and make new all-time high of 19,413.

Nifty Midcap opens lower by 0.18 per cent while Nifty Smallcap opens flat.

India VIX has surged by 1.04 per cent.

Nifty Media, Nifty Financial Services and Nifty IT are among the top gainers while Nifty Energy, Nifty Metal and Nifty FMCG are among the top losers.

Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and Hero Motocorp are among the top gainers while Eicher Motors, Bharti Airtel and ONGC are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 1074 stocks are advancing as against to 795 stocks that are declining. Thus, indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Pre-Market Update at 7:45 AM: The Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced a slight increase of 0.03 per cent, reaching 34,418.47. Similarly, the S&P 500 saw a gain of 0.12 per cent, closing at 4,455.59. Additionally, the Nasdaq Composite witnessed an addition of 28.85 points, corresponding to 0.21 per cent, reaching 13,816.77.

On July 3, foreign institutional investors (FII) purchased shares valued at Rs 1,995.92 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) offloaded shares valued at Rs 337.80 crore.

On Tuesday, the price of oil remained stable and Brent crude futures saw a modest increase of 22 cents, equivalent to 0.3 percent, reaching $74.87 per barrel. The Dollar index traded slightly higher at 102.99, while the value of one dollar hovered around Rs 81.96.

The GIFT Nifty indicates a flat start for the benchmark indices on Tuesday. The futures stood at 19,439.

Stock that is banned for trading in the F&O segment on July 3, 2023, is Indiabulls Housing Finance.
