Market Update: NIFTY PSU BANK is the best performer; these companies scaling new high
NIFTY IT is the worst-performing sector.
Once again global cues were not in favour of the equity market and hence Nifty 50 opened red in today’s trade at 17921.0 against the previous close of 17938.4, which means a gap down of -17.4 points. Currently, it is trading at 17841.15, down by more than 90 points. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 30.0 are trading below their previous close and 20.0 are trading above yesterday's close. In today’s trade, more stocks in Nifty are trading in favour of declines. Overall, we see that more stocks are trading in green.
In today’s trade, the best performing index is NIFTY MICROCAP 250 it is up by 0.61 per cent. This is followed by NIFTY METAL, which is up by 0.44 per cent. The worst performing index currently (10:15 am) is NIFTY IT, rising yields have led to such underperformance in the IT sector. It is down by -0.85 per cent. Out of the total 10.0 companies forming part of the index,6.0 companies are trading in red, 4.0 are trading in green.
