Market Movers: As bourses regain lost ground, these shares witness a strong rally!
Godrej Agrovet, Tinplate Company of India and CreditAccess Grameen top Group A
Domestic equity bourses Sensex and Nifty traded in green today and settled higher. All the sectors fared well on the counters, however media stocks displayed weakness.
At the closing bell on April 28, the Sensex climbed 702 points or 1.2 per cent to close at 57,521.06, while the Nifty index surged by 207 points or 1.2 per cent to settle at 17,245.05.
Godrej Agrovet, Tinplate Company of India and CreditAccess Grameen witnessed positive action in today’s session.
Godrej Agrovet showed a strong rally of 10.50 per cent in today’s session to emerge as the second-biggest gainer in Group A. The share hit intra-day high and low at Rs 592.80 and Rs 525.70, respectively and closed at Rs 567.80. The agro-based company has operations across five business verticals - animal feed, crop protection, oil palm, dairy, poultry and processed foods. The shares of the company gained 14.76 per cent since the beginning of the week.
Tinplate zoomed 8.89 per cent in today’s session to emerge as the third biggest gainer in Group A. The share hit intraday high and low at Rs 423.05 and Rs 393.05, respectively and closed at Rs 422. A Tata Steel subsidiary, it is a pioneer of tinplate production in the country and has become the first domestic tinplate player in India. The company has posted robust Q4 results wherein the company’s revenue grew by 59.20 per cent YoY to Rs 1,106.08 crore. PAT was reported at Rs 144.42 crore, showcasing a solid YoY growth of 103.75 per cent.
CreditAccess Grameen gained 8.73 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 1050. The stock logged its intraday high and low in today’s session at Rs 1090 and Rs 973.35, respectively. The shares of the company had seen a strong rally with a YTD gain of 75.28 per cent on the bourses.
