Litty Thomas sold 44,711 shares of the micro-cap construction stock; Mahendra Girdharilal owns 1,19,845 shares of the company!

The stock is up by 57 per cent from its 52-week low of Rs 66.65 per share.

Indian markets closed lower today, with both the Sensex and Nifty falling around 0.9 per cent each. The Sensex settled at 71,355, down 662 points, while the Nifty closed at 21,513, losing 197 points.

Defying the broader market downtrend, this micro-cap stock initially surged 5.5%, reaching an intraday high of Rs 110.90. However, it couldn't sustain the rally and ultimately succumbed to the market pressure, closing in the red at Rs 104.60, down 0.49 per cent. The shares of the company saw a spurt in volume by more than 1.73 times on BSE.

The stock name is ANSAL BUILDWELL LTD.

As per data available on BSE, it was seen that Litty Thomas wife of ace investor Porinju Veliyath, sold 44,711 shares or 0.60 per cent of the micro-cap construction stock at Rs 108.12 per share, aggregating to Rs 48.34 lakh.

Litty Thomas’s portfolio is worth approx. Rs 487 crore. She bought a total of 72,500 shares of Ansal Buildwell Ltd on March 27, 2023, at Rs 70 per share aggregating to Rs 50,75,00. So, for the above shares sold, she gained Rs 17,04,383 or 54.46 per cent and now she owns 29,789 shares.  

There is one more ace investor who owns 1,19,845 shares of the company, his name is Mahendra Girdharilal (Portfolio worth approx. Rs 148 crore).

Incorporated in 1983, Ansal Buildwell Ltd is in the business of promotion, construction and development of integrated townships, residential and commercial complexes, multi-storied buildings, flats, houses and apartments.

The company has a market cap of 77.23 crore. According to the Quarterly Results, the net sales increased by 356.42 per cent to Rs 11.73 crore and net profit skyrocketed by 303 per cent to Rs 6.62 crore in Q2FY24 compared to Q1FY24. In its annual results (FY23), the company reported net sales of Rs 32.67 crore and a net loss of Rs 2.82 crore. The stock is up by 57 per cent from its 52-week low of Rs 66.65 per share.
