KEC International bags new orders worth Rs 1,514 crore

KEC International Limited informed on Wednesday after the market hours that it has secured new orders worth Rs 1,514 crore across its various businesses.   

In its transmission and distribution (T&D) segment, the company has secured orders worth Rs 326 crore for projects in India & America.  

Besides, the civil arm of the company secured the highest orders worth Rs 1,035 crore. The orders were related to the construction of an elevated viaduct along with stations for a metro project and for mechanical & civil works in two cement plants.  

Lastly, the cables segment secured orders worth Rs 153 crore for various types of cables in India & overseas.  

The metro order has widened the company’s presence in the urban infra sector. With this order, it is currently executing six metro/regional rapid transit system (RRTS) projects. The tower supply orders in the Americas, which were secured by its subsidiary SAE Towers, further strengthens the company’s order book.  

Today, the stock market is closed on the occasion of Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramzan Eid). However, on Wednesday, the share price of KEC International Limited closed at a gain of 0.18 per cent at Rs 381.80 on BSE.
