India fifth most attractive investment destination says PwC survey
A survey of CEOs by global consultancy PwC on Tuesday said that the optimism over global economic growth is at a record level and India is seen as the fifth most attractive market for investments.
The survey which consisted of 1,293 interviews with CEOs spread across 85 countries between August and November 2017 found that the US is considered by most CEOs as the most important country for growth, closely followed by China (33 per cent ) and Germany (20 per cent ). UK markets took the fourth spot. India at 9 per cent knocked out Japan which secured 8 per cent votes to become the fifth most attractive market in 2018.
Shyamal Mukherjee, Chairman of PwC said that the structural reforms witnessed in India over the last year have changed the dynamics of Indian economy. He also added that the India story is looking better at present.
The data augurs well for India as the influential members of the business community from around the globe are convening in Davos for the World Economic Forum's annual summit.
