High momentum stocks for todays trade: Price and volume busters!

Indian markets are seen trading with decent gains in the initial hour of the trading session on Thursday. Sensex is up by 0.29 per cent while Nifty is up by 0.27 per cent.   

What’s interesting about today’s session is that the broader markets have regained the lost spark. The broader markets are seen outperforming the frontline gauges with a wide margin and hence, the market breadth is quite healthy as 1,440 stocks advanced while 271 stocks have declined. Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 were up by 0.76 per cent and 1.70 per cent, respectively.   

Given the fact that the broader markets are back in action, we have compiled a list of stocks that meet the two essential criteria momentum traders look for price & volume. The stock price should be above the previous day’s high while volume should be greater than the previous day’s volume. It’s important to note that we are still in the initial part of the trading session and there are as many as 22 stocks on NSE Exchange, which meets this criterion.
