HEG reports stellar Q3FY18 results

HEG reported its third quarter result of FY18 on Wednesday

HEG standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 842.71 crore, registering 235.4 per cent yoy increase. Its core business graphite registered 242.5 per cent growth in Q3FY17.

EBITDA for the quarter rose by 1825.1 per cent yoy to Rs. 557.51 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 5463 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 66.2 per cent. This margin expansion was aided by lower cost of material consumed as proportionate to sales (17 per cent in Q3FY18 vs 37.7 per cent in Q3FY17).

The company witnessed turnaround in bottom-line and reported profit of Rs. 342.1 crore as against loss of Rs. 3.5 crore.
