Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals posts impressive Q3FY18

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals reported its results for the quarter ended December 31, 2017 on Tuesday.

The company's standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs 617.61 crore, registering an increase of 13.9 per cent YoY.

Its EBITDA for the quarter rose by 110.6 per cent YoY to Rs 179 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 1331 bps. The EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 29 per cent.

The PAT for the quarter was Rs. 112.21 crore, an increase of 137.1 per cent YoY. This was partly due to decline in interest expenses by 19.7% YoY.

The 15MW solar plant and chloromethane upgradation and debottlenecking projects are under progress and are expected to be commissioned during the current financial year.
