Government allocates Rs.1200 crores for Specialized Wellness Centers

The Finance Minister announced a new healthcare policy, Ayushman Bharat Programme. Governmenthas proposed to operate 1.5 lakh centers to provide comprehensive healthcare and child care. These centers are expected to bring affordable and reachable sevices.

The government has proposed Rs. 1200 crores towords Specialized Wellness Centers. Moreover National Health Protection Scheme will reach 10 crore  poor and vulnerable families and provide healthcare of 5 lakh per family per year.

The government has also allocated Rs. 600 crores to provide nutrition to TB patients. Government also plans to enrich the district hospitals in the country, 24 new medical college and upgrade existing colleges and ensure one speciality hospital per state.
