Genesys International signs MoU with Wipro for Autonomous Vehicles

Genesys International Corporation informed the bourses that it has signed MoU with Wipro to jointly pursue opportunities in the growing autonomous car sector.

As per the MoU, Genesys will develop HD Mapping and content by using its core strength and skills. Whereas, Wipro will develop the directional and controller technology for the autonomous system and smart mobility companies.

Genesys has recently accomplished HD Maps for 1,200 km of road and street network for an Autonomous Driving project within a retirement community.

Autonomous vehicle sector is going to boom in the coming years as it's more environment-friendly and also save billions of human hours. This partnership will help Wipro to further strengthen its presence in the autonomous system space.

Post this announcement, the stock price of Genesys International on Wednesday jumped nearly 5 per cent and made an intraday high of Rs. 220 on the BSE.
