Generic Engineering shines on order win worth Rs 41.37 crore

Generic Engineering Construction & Projects Limited has been awarded new work order worth Rs 41.37 crore from its existing reputed client. The project is for civil works (industrial & commercial segment) from Reliance Life Sciences Pvt Ltd for the material centre and corporate office in Navi Mumbai’s Rabale location. 

The company’s order book as of December 2020 stood at Rs 1,166.41 crore. The residential segment (legacy business) contributes about 59.47 per cent while residential (govt and semi-govt) includes 17.76 per cent of the revenue. The commercial & industrial segment constitutes 9.19 per cent of revenue, special & educational projects contribute 9.01 per cent, while health & leisure contributes the remaining i.e., 4.57 per cent. With this new order, the total outstanding order book stands at Rs 1,207.78 crore. 

Generic Engineering is engaged in the construction of residential, industrial, commercial & institutional buildings with a presence in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Goa. It offers general contracting, design‐build, engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) as well as project management consultancy (PMC) services. 

On Tuesday, the stock of Generic Engineering surged 14.5 per cent to Rs 62.90 from its previous close of Rs 54.95 on BSE.
