Five stocks witnessing short covering
Short covering refers to buying back borrowed securities in order to close out an open short position at a profit or loss.
Sensex and Nifty opened the fourth trading session of the week in the negative territory. At 11.49 am, Sensex was spotted at 56,665.78 levels, down by 2.06 per cent while Nifty inched lower by 1.93 per cent to be at 16,943.75 levels.
HCL Technologies, Titan, and Wipro turned out to be the top three losers of the day, which tanked 4.34 per cent, 4.09 per cent & 3.77 per cent, respectively.
